2-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate

DMAEMA

Main Applications: Adhesives & Paints (as a functional monomer that improves latex paint gloss and adhesion, and enhances bonding in acrylic adhesives), Water Treatment (polycationic flocculants for wastewater and retention aids in papermaking due to its cationic amine functionality) and Sealants & Coatings (used as an adhesion promoter in emulsions and to improve chemical resistance of coatings). It is also a key ingredient in some hair styling polymers when quaternized, linking to personal care use.

Alternative to: DETA or TEA in reactive resin systems.
DMAEMA provides better copolymerization, faster curing, and improved adhesion promotion, ideal for ion-exchange resins and flocculants.

Main Applications: Coatings and Adhesives (as a monomer for acrylic resins in paints, coatings, and pressure-sensitive  adhesives), Superabsorbent Polymers (e.g. in diapers and personal hygiene products), Water Treatment (as polyacrylic acid for flocculants) and Textiles (as a finish or fiber treatment).

potassium persulphate

CAS: 7727-21-1

PPS

Main Applications: Polymerization (similarly used as a free-radical initiator in emulsion polymerization for plastics, rubber, and resins), Hair Bleaching (a common component in hair bleach formulations as an oxidizer, often in combination with ammonium persulfate), Printed Circuit Board Etching (etchant for microelectronics to selectively remove metals) and Pool & Water Treatment (used in some applications to generate free radicals for oxidative cleaning). Potassium persulfate is valued for its stability and is often the persulfate of choice in cosmetic bleach powders.

Alternative to: Ammonium persulphate (APS).
Potassium persulfate can replace APS as an initiator or oxidant where slightly different solubility and decomposition behavior are beneficial, for example in emulsion polymerization and hair-bleaching systems.
